Handmade Leather Backpack for Travel

The Altatac 14 inch brown leather backpack is handmade using traditional Indian tanning methods with Ayurvedic oils. Each bag develops a unique natural shade and a rugged, stiff feel that softens with regular use. Multiple exterior pockets and one main interior partition organise gear for short trips.

Suits Light Travellers Needing Style

Ideal for campers, hikers or commuters who want a distinctive vintage look with brass buckles and an adjustable shoulder strap. The single main compartment limits organisation for users who prefer dedicated laptop sleeves or many internal dividers. Buyers who want a lightweight, pre-softened fabric pack should look at something else.

Simple Strap Adjustment and Leather Care

The long shoulder strap adjusts with the brass buckles for a comfortable fit, while the leather grab handle offers quick carry. Natural oils mean colour varies from the photo, and the stiff new leather needs occasional wax polish or conditioner to maintain suppleness. Gentle homely care extends the bag's life.

Questions about this item

What size laptop or tablet fits inside the 14-inch high main compartment?

The main partition measures 13 inches high, 9.5 inches wide and 5 inches deep, so devices up to those dimensions will fit.

How do the adjustable shoulder straps work with a heavier load?

Long shoulder straps adjust to your preferred length and the bag's heavy-duty leather construction distributes weight evenly across the back.

How can I tell the leather is genuine and aging properly after a few weeks of use?

The untreated leather darkens to a richer chocolate tone, softens with daily wear and each bag shows unique natural texture variations from the Ayurvedic oil and sun-tanning process.
