  • SK-5 steel blades stay sharp through heavy pruning

  • Shock-absorbing spring reduces wrist fatigue during long sessions
  • Ergonomic rubber handles fit small and large hands securely
  • One-hand safety lock keeps blades closed when not in use

8-Inch Bypass Pruning Shears

Altatac 8-inch red bypass pruning shears use SK-5 steel blades with a non-stick coating for clean cuts on live branches. The scissor-like curved design suits gardeners and landscapers who need precise trimming without crushing stems. A shock-absorbing spring returns the blades automatically after each cut. The lightweight build reduces fatigue during extended pruning sessions.

Check Blade Style And Hand Fit

Confirm that a bypass action matches the material you plan to cut; anvil-style tools are better for dead wood. Verify the 8-inch overall length suits your reach and storage space. The product is described as fitting small and large hands, so assess whether the grip circumference feels secure for your hand size. No blade-opening dimension is provided, so ensure the maximum branch thickness you encounter falls within typical bypass capacity.

Non-Stick Coating Spring Lock

The non-stick coating resists sap and debris buildup, keeping blades moving freely between cuts. The shock-absorbing spring cushions the closing impact, lowering wrist strain during repetitive use. A safety lock holds the blades closed for safe carrying and storage. Rubber cushions on the handles add comfort and prevent slipping when hands are damp.
