Professional pruning shears

Altatac SK-5 pruning shears are built for gardeners who need reliable cutting performance. The bypass design uses high-strength steel blades with a non-stick coating to resist rust and corrosion. A shock-absorbing spring reduces wrist strain during repetitive cuts. A safety lock secures the blades when the tool is not in use.

Gardeners wanting comfort and safety

The ergonomic foam handles suit both small and large hands for extended pruning sessions. The locking mechanism operates easily with either hand. Buyers who need a ratchet mechanism for very thick branches should consider a different design. This tool is intended for manual pruning only.

SK-5 steel bypass blades

The blades are made from SK-5 steel with a non-stick coating for clean cuts and corrosion resistance. The curved bypass action slices through live wood without crushing stems. The shock-absorbing spring returns the blades automatically after each cut. A one-handed safety lock keeps the jaws closed during storage.

Questions about this item

What does the SK-5 blade material mean for everyday pruning?

SK-5 high-carbon steel keeps a razor edge longer than standard stainless blades, resists bending on green wood, and the non-stick coating reduces sap buildup so cuts stay clean.

How does the bypass cutting action and locking design work together?

The curved bypass blades slice like scissors for clean cuts on live stems, and the one-hand safety lock holds them closed during storage or transport.

What hand size and grip strength do the soft foam handles suit?

Ergonomic non-slip foam fits both small and large hands, while the shock-absorbing spring and rubber cushions cut wrist strain during long sessions.
