What it is

The Altec Lansing HydraJolt IMW1200-BLK-STK-2 is a portable Bluetooth speaker built for outdoor use. It carries an IP67 rating for waterproof, dirtproof and shockproof protection. The speaker delivers up to 16 hours of battery life and includes a built-in power bank for charging a smartphone.

Who it suits and who it does not

Hikers, campers and beach-goers who need a rugged speaker that can survive drops, dust and submersion will appreciate the carabiner clip and antimicrobial surface. Buyers who want more storage capacity, multi-room audio integration or a larger driver for deeper bass should look at other form factors.

What the extras change

The package includes a USB-C cable for quick charging and a carabiner clip for attaching the unit to packs or belt loops. True Wireless Pairing lets two HydraJolt speakers link for stereo playback. Eleven LED light modes pulse to the music, adding visual feedback without extra software.

Questions about this item

Does the Altec Lansing HydraJolt IMW1200 need a separate power bank to charge my phone?

No, the speaker includes a built-in smartphone charger so you can top up your device directly from its battery.

Will this speaker pair with an older Altec Lansing model that lacks True Wireless Pairing?

No, True Wireless Pairing only works between two HydraJolt units, so an older model without the feature cannot join the stereo pair.

How can I confirm the IP67 waterproof rating is still effective after a drop?

The antimicrobial EverythingProof shell is rated IP67; if the speaker powers on, pairs via Bluetooth and plays audio normally after a fall, the seals are intact.
