Portable Bluetooth speaker for outdoor use

The Logitech 984-001876 Wonderboom 4 is a compact wireless speaker built for travel and outdoor listening. Its IP67 rating means it resists dust, survives submersion in one metre of water for 30 minutes and floats. A built-in bungee loop lets you clip it to a pack or shower caddy. It suits anyone who wants music by the pool, at the beach or on a hike without worrying about splashes or dirt.

Sustained playback and sound behaviour

The rechargeable lithium-ion battery delivers up to 14 hours of playtime between micro-USB charges. Two 1.57 in active drivers and two 1.81 x 2.57 in passive radiators produce 360-degree audio that reaches 86 dBC in normal mode and 87 dBC with Outdoor Boost engaged. A dedicated Podcast Mode sharpens vocals for spoken-word content. Bluetooth range extends to 131 feet so the source device can stay inside while the speaker sits outside.

IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating

The single specification that decides suitability is the IP67 certification, which guarantees full dust protection and survival in one metre of water for 30 minutes. Buyers who need a speaker that can be submerged deeper or for longer, or who require a higher maximum sound pressure level than 87 dBC, should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How loud does the Wonderboom 4 get when I leave it playing outdoors all afternoon?

The speaker reaches 87 dBC in outdoor mode and 86 dBC normally, driven by two 1.57 in active drivers and two passive radiators measuring 1.81 x 2.57 in.

What do I need to own before the Wonderboom 4 will play audio?

Any smartphone, tablet or other device that supports Bluetooth A2DP for audio streaming will work; the speaker charges via micro-USB.

The Double Up feature pairs two Wonderboom 4 units together for stereo left and right channels; pairing with earlier models is not supported.
