A 12 VDC DPDT relay module rated at 5 A for switching in security and automation systems
The Altronix RB5 provides a double-pole double-throw relay rated at 5 A for 12 VDC operation. It mounts on a snap track for straightforward installation in enclosures. The unit suits security and automation systems that need a single switching element.
The relay switches two independent circuits simultaneously with a single coil signal. Contact rating is fixed at 5 A, so loads above this value require an additional contactor or a different module. Coil voltage is selectable between 6 VDC and 12 VDC.
Verify that every connected load stays at or below 5 A at 12 VDC before specifying this part. Circuits demanding higher current or a different pole configuration will need an alternative relay. The snap-track footprint also determines enclosure compatibility.

The module operates on either 6 VDC or 12 VDC; select the voltage that matches your control panel's relay drive output.
Each of the two poles can carry up to 5 A at the rated voltage, so a single lock drawing 5 A or less can be switched on one pole.
The terminals accept standard solid or stranded control wire; strip length and torque follow typical low-voltage relay wiring practice.
