The ALTRONIX Trove2 Enclosure Accessory Kit provides a secure housing for alarm control panel components. It includes a removable THW2 backplane, cam lock, tamper switch and mounting hardware for a complete installation.

Installers securing alarm panels

This kit suits security installers who need a lockable enclosure with integrated tamper detection for access control or fire alarm panels. It is not intended for general-purpose equipment racks or IT server deployments.

Sustained environmental protection

The cam lock and tamper switch maintain continuous physical security and monitoring during long-term operation. The removable backplane allows component servicing without compromising the enclosure's protective integrity.

Questions about this item

Do I need to supply my own alarm control panel to mount inside the Trove2 enclosure?

Yes, the kit provides the enclosure, THW2 backplane, cam lock, tamper switch and mounting hardware; the alarm control panel itself is not included.

Will the removable THW2 backplane accept legacy alarm panels that use a different mounting pattern?

The backplane is designed for panels compatible with the THW2 footprint; panels with other hole patterns will not line up without an adapter.

How can I verify the tamper switch is active after I close and lock the enclosure?

Close the door, engage the cam lock, then check the control panel's zone status — it should show the tamper circuit as closed or normal.
