Purpose-built storage

This two-pack of light brown floating shelves suits renters and homeowners who need quick wall storage in bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms or bedrooms. Each unit combines a Paulownia wood board with a powder-coated metal bracket and a detachable towel bar. The set arrives new and ready to mount on wood studs, drywall or concrete walls.

Weight limit decides fit

Each shelf is rated for a maximum of 22 lbs, and the safety warning caps total loading at 40 lbs for the pair. The .59 in thick Paulownia board and the three-sided guard rail are designed to keep items from sliding off. Buyers who need to hold heavier objects should look for a higher-rated system.

Three-step mounting

Installation follows three steps: unfold the bracket, attach the board and towel bar, then secure the bracket to the wall. Hardware for wood stud, drywall and concrete is required but not supplied. The most common issue is using anchors that are too light for the 22 lb per shelf rating, which can cause the unit to pull loose.
