Foldable octagonal dog playpen

The Amazon Basics 9004-42B is a foldable octagonal metal playpen built for large dogs up to 26 inches tall. Eight connected iron panels form a 16-square-foot enclosure that can be shaped as a round 60-inch diameter pen or a 48-inch square. It sets up in seconds without tools and folds flat for transport or storage.

Single door with three locking latches

The decisive spec is the single door secured by three slide-bolt latches. This closure type keeps the pen shut while allowing quick human access. Thumb clips join the panel ends and eight ground anchors are included for outdoor stability.

Rustproof iron wire for sustained outdoor use

Durable iron wire with a rustproof finish resists corrosion when the pen is left outside for extended periods. Ground anchors hold the frame firmly on grass or soil. The manufacturer advises not to leave pets unattended outdoors.

Questions about this item

How much floor space does the 16-square-foot enclosure actually give my dog?

The octagon measures 60 inches across and provides 16 square feet of interior area for a dog up to 26 inches tall.

What does the single-door latch system secure against?

Three locking slide-bolt latches hold the door shut so the panel cannot be nudged open by the dog.

Will the 42-inch-high panels fit through a standard doorway for indoor use?

Each panel is 24 inches wide and 42 inches high, so it passes through most interior door frames when folded flat.
