Two-Door Access for Small Pets

The Petmate 290623 kennel offers top and front loading doors for small dogs and cats up to 15 lbs. Steel doors with easy-squeeze latches provide secure entry while the foldable handle allows convenient transport. This 24-inch plastic crate creates a cozy den space that supports natural instincts at home or during travel.

Airline-Approved Ventilation

Ventilation holes deliver fresh air and 360-degree visibility throughout the journey. The design meets most airline cargo specifications for pets travelling in the hold. A stay-dry moat channels fluids away from the interior floor, keeping the space drier during extended periods inside the carrier.

USA-Made Plastic Construction

The plastic shell is manufactured in the United States and cleans easily with standard household products. Steel door hardware resists corrosion from repeated use and cleaning. The two-door layout allows flexible placement in vehicles or living spaces without requiring a specific orientation for access.

Questions about this item

Will the plastic shell and ventilation holes keep the interior cool when the kennel sits in a parked car all day?

The 360-degree ventilation holes provide fresh air flow around the plastic shell, but temperature inside depends on outside conditions and should be monitored.

What cushion or bedding size fits the 24-inch floor so my 15-pound dog can lie comfortably?

The 24-inch crate floor accommodates a cushion sized for small dogs up to 15 lbs, allowing room to stand, turn and lie down.

Can the steel doors and squeeze latches withstand chewing from an older dog that has destroyed wire crates before?

The steel doors with easy-squeeze latches are built for secure containment, though chewing resistance varies by individual pet behaviour.
