Amazon Basics AMZ-S6524A USB condenser microphone

USB condenser microphone for streaming

The Amazon Basics AMZ-S6524A is a large-diaphragm USB condenser microphone designed for voice capture on a PC or Mac. Its 14 mm capsule and cardioid pickup pattern focus on sound directly in front of the mic while reducing room noise. A built-in one-tap mute button and 360-degree adjustable desktop stand make it simple to control during live sessions. No drivers are required for Windows 7 or later and macOS 10.10 or later.

Suited for solo creators who need

This microphone fits streamers, podcasters and remote workers recording a single voice at a desk. The cardioid pattern rejects off-axis sound, so it works well in untreated rooms. It is not for buyers who need stereo capture, multiple simultaneous sources or an XLR connection for an audio interface. Users wanting onboard gain control or headphone monitoring should look at a different model.

Cardioid polar pattern

The mic uses a unidirectional cardioid pattern rated at 75 dB sensitivity and a 75 dB signal-to-noise ratio. Frequency response spans 20 Hz to 20 kHz through a single channel. Impedance is 2.2 kiloohms. These figures determine how cleanly it captures quiet speech and how much self-noise is added to the recording.
