1.056688-Quart Electric Kettle

This electric kettle holds 1.056688 quarts and operates at 1500 watts. It is designed for anyone who needs hot water quickly for tea, coffee or instant meals. The compact footprint suits small kitchens, offices or student accommodation.

Strix Thermostat and Boil-Dry Protection

A Strix thermostat controls the heating cycle and triggers automatic shut-off once water boils. Boil-dry protection cuts power if the kettle is switched on without sufficient water. The concealed heating element simplifies cleaning and the 30 inch cord connects to a detachable power base.

Ideal for Solo Users, Less Suited for Large

The one-litre capacity serves one to two people per boil, making it practical for single users or couples. Households that regularly need larger volumes of hot water will find the capacity limiting and should consider a bigger model.

Questions about this item

How often will the Strix thermostat control need checking or replacement?

The Strix thermostat is a sealed component with no user-serviceable parts; it is designed to last the life of the kettle and requires no scheduled maintenance.

What limits how many times I can boil water back-to-back?

The 1500 W element draws maximum power from the outlet, so the household circuit breaker is the first limit on repeated boiling cycles.

How much noise and heat does the 1500 W element produce during a full day of use?

The kettle operates quietly with only a gentle boiling sound; the exterior stays warm but not dangerously hot, and the 30 inch cord allows flexible placement away from heat-sensitive surfaces.
