Utility Knife for Everyday Cutting

The Amazon Basics RSK-AZ is a retractable utility knife built for opening packages, cutting tape, cardboard, cord and similar materials. Its 6.7 inch aluminium body stores three carbon-steel blades internally, so a spare is always at hand. The quick-change button releases the blade without tools. A soft-grip handle adds comfort during repetitive tasks.

Safe Operation and Low Maintenance

The blade slides back into the aluminium housing when not in use, protecting both the edge and the user. No power source or lubrication is required; the mechanism relies on a simple manual slider and a push-button release. The carbon-steel blades stay sharp through typical office and warehouse workloads, and replacements are tool-free.

Compact Addition to Any Toolkit

The knife fits in a pocket, desk drawer or tool bag without adding bulk. Its universal blade channel accepts any compatible utility blade, freeing you from proprietary refills. The all-metal construction withstands drops on hard floors, while the TPR grip stays secure when hands are wet or dusty.

Questions about this item

How do you load the first blade into the RSK-AZ knife?

Press the push-button to open the body, insert a carbon-steel blade into the holder, then close until it clicks; one blade ships pre-loaded.

What parts will need replacing over time?

The carbon-steel blades dull with use; two spares store inside the handle and any compatible utility blade fits the universal system.

At what point does the blade stop cutting cleanly during a long job?

The edge dulls first; retract the blade, press the push-button to swap in a fresh spare, and continue without tools.
