Amcrest AWC195-B webcam for desktop streaming

The Amcrest AWC195-B delivers 1080p video at 30fps through a USB 2.0 connection. A 90° wide-angle lens captures more of the room for webinars or group calls. Built-in noise-reducing microphones record stereo audio in MP3 format. The camera is compatible with Windows 11, 10, 8, 7, MacOS, Linux and Android.

Privacy cover and mounting options included

A sliding privacy cover blocks the lens when the camera is not in use. The box supplies a mounting clip for monitors and a standard ¼-inch tripod thread for flexible placement. Video is encoded in MP4 and audio in MP3, ready for platforms such as Zoom, Teams, Skype, OBS Studio and major streaming services.

Plug-and-play setup with USB 2.0 cable

The 5ft 9in USB 2.0 cable connects directly to a host port with no driver installation required. Most operating systems recognise the device instantly for video and audio. Ensure the privacy cover is open and the microphone is not muted in system settings if no sound is heard.

Questions about this item

Does the privacy cover need any special care or replacement?

The built-in privacy cover slides manually and has no moving electronics, so it requires no maintenance or scheduled replacement.

What limits 1080p capture during long streaming sessions?

The USB 2.0 interface caps bandwidth, so sustained 1080p at 30fps is the maximum the connection can sustain.

How much heat or noise does the webcam produce after hours of use?

It draws power only from the USB 2.0 port, has no fan, and runs silently with negligible warmth.
