Amcrest AWC2198 1080P webcam

This Amcrest AWC2198 webcam delivers Full HD 1080p video at 30fps through a 90° wide-angle lens. It connects via USB 2.0 and features dual built-in microphones with 3D noise reduction for clearer audio during calls. The CMOS sensor includes auto white balance to improve image quality in varying light conditions.

Suits home workers and streamers needing simple

The plug-and-play design works with Windows, Mac OS and Android across platforms such as Zoom, Skype and YouTube. A mounting clip and quarter-inch tripod thread allow flexible placement on monitors or stands. Buyers who need higher frame rates, 4K resolution or advanced compression standards should look elsewhere.

30fps at 1080p via USB 2.0

The single specification that decides fit is the 30fps 1080p output over a USB 2.0 link using H.264, MJPEG or YUV. This bandwidth ceiling fixes the maximum video performance regardless of the host system. If your workflow requires faster frame delivery or newer encoding, this model will not satisfy it.

Should I choose a different resolution or frame-rate version of this model?

How does the 90-degree viewing angle and 30 fps frame rate perform on a typical video call?
