American Hunter XD-Pro Feeder Kit

The American Hunter XD-Pro Feeder Kit is a timer-controlled feeding system designed for wildlife management and hunting preparation. It fits almost any feed container and comes pre-wired for accessories. A weather resistant housing with a built-in varmint guard protects the mechanism. The unit requires a 6V battery which is not included.

Suited for scheduled feeding programs

Hunters and land managers who need programmable daily feed cycles will find the analog clock timer useful for setting one to twenty-four feed times per day. The adjustable feed rate runs from one to thirty seconds per cycle. Buyers who need digital programming or solar charging should look at other products because this kit uses an analog timer and requires a separate 6V battery.

Adjustable feed rate 1-30 seconds

The single specification that decides fit is the adjustable feed rate which allows each feeding event to last between one and thirty seconds. This range controls how much feed is dispensed per cycle and must match the target species and container setup. Verify that this duration range meets the specific nutritional and behavioural requirements of the wildlife being managed.

Questions about this item

How often will the 6 V battery need replacing when the feeder runs 24 times daily?

Battery life depends on the 6 V cell capacity and the 1–30 second feed duration you choose; higher feed counts and longer run times drain it faster.

What stops the feeder from dispensing continuously during a long session?

The adjustable timer limits each feed event to 1–30 seconds, so the motor cannot run beyond the set duration per cycle.

Does the weather-resistant housing and varmint guard keep the unit cool and quiet during all-day operation?

The housing protects electronics from rain and animals; the motor only runs briefly up to 30 seconds per cycle, so heat and noise stay minimal.
