The American Lock A1106YLW is a lockout padlock built for energy-isolation procedures. Its anodized aluminium body resists corrosion in harsh environments. Each unit is keyed different so only the assigned holder can remove it. Yellow finish provides high visibility on equipment.

Mechanical key limits and clearance

The lock uses a standard mechanical key that cannot be removed while the shackle is open. Horizontal and vertical shackle clearances are both 13/16 in, limiting the hasp or chain links that will fit. Boron alloy shackle diameter is 1/4 in for cut resistance. No electronic or combination alternative exists.

Keyed-different security model

Every padlock ships with a unique key code so one key cannot open another lock in the same kit. This prevents accidental removal by co-workers during group lockout. Buyers needing identical keys across multiple points must choose a keyed-alike series instead.
