Dual Platform Design

The American Weigh KQ909 provides two weighing surfaces in a single unit. Platform one handles up to 11 pounds with 0.1 ounce increments, while platform two manages 16 ounces at 0.001 ounce precision. Both platforms display results simultaneously on a two-line backlit LCD. Home cooks and bakers who need to weigh large batches and fine ingredients together will find this layout practical.

Build Integration

The scale measures 10.63 inches by 6.89 inches by 1.25 inches and sits on a plastic base with stainless steel platforms. It requires three AAA batteries, which are included, and powers off automatically after three minutes without a weight change. The flat surfaces wipe clean without staining or retaining odours. Builders who need a rechargeable unit or mains power option will not find those features here.

Bundled Power And Readout

Included AAA batteries make the scale operational immediately. The backlit dual-line readout shows both platform weights at once, removing the need to switch views or record intermediate values. The tare function zeros containers on either platform so ingredients can be added sequentially. Users who prefer a non-backlit display or a single-platform workflow will not gain those alternatives from this package.
