Compact 5 kg kitchen scale for precise home cooking

The American Weigh TUMIDY countertop scale weighs up to 5 kg with 1 g graduations and shows grams, ounces or pounds and ounces on a backlit LCD. It runs on two AAA batteries and shuts off after 60 seconds of inactivity. The slim ABS platform measures 16 by 13 by 3.3 cm and weighs 0.272 kg.

Replaces guesswork and mechanical dial scales

Jump to this scale when recipes demand gram-level accuracy for sourdough, keto portions or postal parcels up to 11 lb. The tare function lets you zero bowls instantly, and overload protection handles 5.1 kg without damage. Mechanical dials and volume cups cannot match this repeatability.

Check power source and platform size before ordering

Ensure you keep spare AAA cells on hand because the unit ships with batteries but has no mains adapter. Verify the 16 by 13 cm footprint fits your prep area and that a 3.3 cm profile clears any overhead cabinets. Buyers needing waterproof housing or Bluetooth logging should look elsewhere.
