The Ampco 1/2" drive SAE socket fits a 15/16" hex fastener with a 6-point aluminum bronze construction. It is designed for hand use in environments where spark prevention is required. FM approval and ASTM A342 compliance confirm suitability for hazardous-location work. The unfinished surface reflects the base alloy without additional coating.

Capacity and headroom

The 6-point geometry distributes torque across the flat faces of a 15/16" hex to reduce rounding risk. Aluminum bronze provides non-sparking performance but offers lower hardness than steel alloys. The tool is not impact rated, so it must be used with hand ratchets or breaker bars only. Heavy impact or high-torque power tools will exceed its design limits.

Build integration
