8-Way MoCA 2.5 Coaxial Splitter

The Amphenol ABS318H distributes high-frequency signals across eight F-ports for coaxial home and business networks. It supports MoCA 2.5 networking and video distribution up to 1675 MHz. The silver metal housing is built for indoor and outdoor installations. This unit suits installers expanding a single coax feed to multiple endpoints.

Sustained signal distribution across eight outputs

Low insertion loss at 1675 MHz keeps signal strength consistent across all ports during continuous use. Excellent port-to-port isolation minimises interference between connected devices. A 6 kV ring wave surge withstand rating protects the network from transient voltage events. The 15 PSI pressure-sealed F-ports maintain performance in varying environmental conditions.

Practical limits of the MoCA 2.5 coax interface

The 5 to 1675 MHz bandwidth defines the maximum frequency range for networking and video signals. Splitting one input into eight paths inherently reduces the signal level available at each output port. The splitter is passive and requires no external power source to operate. Installation is limited to coaxial cables with standard F-type connectors.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the ABS318H generate when it runs continuously in a MoCA 2.5 network?

The ABS318H is a passive coaxial splitter with no active electronics, so it produces no heat or audible noise during continuous operation.

What coaxial cables and connectors must I already have to install this 8-way splitter?

You need coaxial cables terminated with standard F-type male connectors to attach to the splitter’s eight F-ports.

Will the ABS318H work alongside older MoCA 1.1 or 2.0 adapters I already own?

Yes, the splitter passes the full 5–1675 MHz band used by MoCA 2.5, 2.0 and 1.1, so legacy adapters remain compatible.
