Scale and Audience

This 1/25 scale plastic model kit replicates a 1959 Cadillac Ambulance and contains 82 detailed parts. It is designed for adult hobbyists and collectors who enjoy assembling vintage vehicle reproductions with a Skill 2 difficulty rating.

Assembly Experience

The kit requires paint and cement to complete, so builders should plan for multiple work sessions rather than a single sitting. Parts are molded in white with chrome-plated accents, black vinyl tires and metal axles, allowing a realistic finish once the model is assembled and detailed.

Build Quality and Display

An officially licensed product, the kit arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging with vintage-style box art and colorful decals. Chrome hub caps, whitewall inserts, gurney railings with mattress and two styles of frosted window markings provide authentic ambulance detailing for shelf display.

Questions about this item

Does the kit produce any noise, heat or power draw once it is assembled and displayed all day?

No, the finished model is a static plastic kit with no motor, electronics or moving parts, so it generates no noise, heat or power consumption.

What tools or supplies must I already have before I can start building this AMT 1959 Cadillac Ambulance kit?

You will need modelling cement and paint, because the 82 parts come moulded in white and the chrome trim must be painted or stripped with silver paint; neither adhesive nor colour is included.

Will the 1/25 scale ambulance look consistent with older 1/25 scale car kits I already own?

Yes, the kit is engineered to 1/25 scale, matching the traditional scale used by AMT and other brands for vintage American car kits, so it will sit correctly alongside them.
