The AMT AMT1493 is a 1/25 scale plastic model kit that reproduces the 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, the supercharged flagship of the fifth-generation line. It contains 65 detailed parts moulded in white, plus black vinyl tires, metal axles, chrome-plated small parts and vinyl seats. The kit is rated Skill Level 2 and requires paint and cement, which are not included.

This kit replaces basic snap-together or pre-painted models that offer little assembly involvement. The jump is worth it when a builder wants a traditional glue-and-paint experience with a detailed LSA supercharged V8 engine, full interior and accurate chassis components. The parts count provides enough pieces to assemble the aggressive ZL1 exterior with hood vents, front splitter, rear spoiler and wide-body stance, along with 5-spoke ZL1 wheels and colourful decal artwork. Headroom runs out if a modeller expects opening doors, a detailed suspension geometry or photo-etched metal upgrades, as those features are not part of the 65-part contents.
