The Amtake AV-HD-X-1 converts analogue RCA composite signals from vintage consoles, VCRs or camcorders into HDMI 720p or 1080p output at 60Hz. It accepts PAL, NTSC3.58, NTSC4.43, SECAM, PAL/M and PAL/N formats so a single box handles every region. Both video and audio travel together over one HDMI cable to a modern display. Build integration

The converter draws power from any 5V 1A USB source, so a spare TV port or phone charger keeps it running without a dedicated mains adapter. Its 0.06kg chassis disappears behind a rack or sits on a shelf without blocking neighbouring ports. One HDMI cable carries the complete digital signal, freeing the user from separate audio leads and SCART adaptors. The package includes an HDMI-to-HDMI lead and a USB power cable for immediate connection.

Upgrade path

This unit replaces ageing upscalers that max out at 480i or require external line-doublers to reach 1080p. It also supersedes passive RCA-to-HDMI cables that cannot re-clock unstable composite timing.
