Brass drain cock for hydronic systems

The Anderson Metals 1451 is a brass angle-style drain cock built for radiators and boilers. It connects via a 1/2 inch MNPT thread and accepts a hose with a 15/16 inch inside diameter. An aluminium wheel handle operates the internal seat. The valve meets ASME 1016 standards for pressure piping components.

Installers needing a 150 psi rated shut-off

This valve suits hydronic heating loops and boiler drain points rated to 150 psi maximum pressure. It operates continuously between -65 °F and 250 °F. Systems requiring a higher pressure rating, a different thread size, or a straight-through body style should select another model.

Brass body and aluminium handle under sustained heat

Under prolonged exposure to the 250 °F upper limit the brass body and internal seat maintain sealing integrity at 150 psi. The aluminium wheel handle remains operable without binding. The angle pattern promotes drainage even when sediment collects in the horizontal run.
