One-to-two Toslink splitter

The ANDTOBO-8 is a powered Toslink fiber-optic splitter that takes a single male optical input and duplicates it to two female Toslink outputs. It is intended for users who need to send the same digital audio stream from a source such as a games console or television to two receiving devices simultaneously, for example a soundbar and a wireless headphone transmitter.

Powered operation and one-way signal path

The unit requires the supplied USB-C cable to be connected to a power source; an adapter is not included. Signal flow is strictly one way from the single input to the two outputs, and the device cannot combine two sources into one output. Optical loss is specified as less than 0.2 dB per metre, and the transparent protective caps must be removed before inserting cables.

Replaces passive Y-cables for longer runs

This active splitter replaces passive Toslink Y-adapters when cable lengths or device impedances cause signal drop-outs.
