Compact cardioid condenser microphone with shock-mount and cold shoe, drawing plug-in power from 3.5 mm TRRS devices for 40-18KHz capture
The AndyCine M1 is a cardioid condenser microphone designed for on-camera use with DSLR cameras, camcorders, recorders, PCs, tablets and smartphones that have a 3.5 mm audio jack. It targets creators who need a lightweight, plug-and-play audio upgrade for interviews, vlogs and dialogue recording without carrying bulky gear.
The unit requires no batteries and draws power directly from the connected device through the 3.5 mm TRRS cable, so it adds no heat or fan noise to the setup. Its unidirectional pickup pattern and integrated shock-mount minimise handling vibration and peripheral environmental noise, while a supplied windshield further reduces wind interference during outdoor sessions.
A cold shoe mount with a 1/4 inch thread on the bottom lets the microphone sit on a camera hot shoe, a bracket or a small tripod. The 3.5 mm TRRS connector plugs straight into compatible cameras, PCs, iPads and smartphones with a headset jack; iPhone models with a Lightning port and Android models with USB-C need their own 3.5 mm adapters, which are not included. The frequency response spans 40 to 18 kHz with a sensitivity of -38 dB and a signal-to-noise ratio rated at 130 dB SPL.

Slide the microphone onto the cold shoe mount, tighten the 1/4" thread on the bottom, then plug the 3.5 mm TRRS cable into the camera's mic jack; the integrated shock-mount isolates vibration so the cable does not transmit handling noise.
The foam windshield supplied with the microphone is the only consumable; it can be replaced with any standard shotgun-style foam cover when it crumbles or tears.
The specified maximum SPL is 130 dB, so sustained sources louder than that — such as a front-of-house PA at a concert — will cause distortion before any other limit is reached.
