What this hub adds

Anker A83800A1 turns one USB-C port into eight connections: two HDMI outputs, two USB-A 3.0 ports, gigabit Ethernet, a microSD card reader and a PD charging input. It suits professionals who need dual external monitors and wired networking from a compact grey adapter. The hub works with Windows 10 and 11, ChromeOS and macOS devices that support DP Alt Mode and Power Delivery.

Build and daily connections

The aluminium-clad body measures 118 mm by 51 mm by 17.5 mm and weighs 0.2 pounds, so it fits in a laptop sleeve without bulk. Two HDMI ports sit side by side for quick dual-monitor setup, while the Ethernet jack locks cables securely for stable desk use. A single USB-C upstream cable carries video, data and up to 85 W of pass-through power when paired with a 100 W PD charger and USB-C to C cable.

The spec that decides fit

Dual 4K output runs at 60 Hz on one screen or 30 Hz across both; macOS mirrors the same image on both displays because MST is not supported. Linux is not supported. Buyers who need independent dual 4K 60 Hz streams or Linux compatibility should look elsewhere.
