Four IEEE 802.3af compliant splitters convert 44-56 V PoE into 5 V 2.4 A micro-USB power plus 100 Mbps Ethernet for non-PoE devices
This four-pack supplies 5V DC power and 10/100Mbps ethernet from a single PoE feed. Each unit complies with IEEE 802.3af and delivers up to 2.4A at 5V through a Micro USB connector. The splitters are suited for tablets, IP cameras, Raspberry Pi boards and similar non-PoE gear.
Instead of running individual AC adapters to each endpoint, these splitters draw 44-56V DC from a PoE switch over standard ethernet cable. The upgrade is worthwhile when devices are far from mains sockets or when a tidy, single-cable install is preferred. They do not serve equipment that requires higher voltages or gigabit data rates.
Each splitter comfortably powers devices drawing up to 12W at 5V within an ambient range of -10 to 45 degrees Celsius. The 100Mbps data path is adequate for typical IP camera streams and basic networking tasks. Headroom runs out for gear needing more than 2.4A, voltages above 5V or network speeds beyond 100 megabits per second.

Each splitter includes an 18.5 cm micro-USB cable terminated with a micro-USB plug for the device side.
Connect the PoE switch to the shielded RJ-45 female input first, then attach the RJ-45 male output to the device and the micro-USB plug for power; the IEEE 802.3af handshake occurs on the input port.
The splitter is rated for -10 °C to 45 °C ambient; keep the mounting location inside this range to avoid thermal stress on the 12 W output stage.
