AOC Captain 100 Wireless Gaming Headset

The AOC ACG 2502 Captain 100 is a wireless gaming headset built for multi-platform play. It connects through 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C, USB-A and a 3.5 mm cable. The headset weighs 239 g and features 50 mm graphene diaphragms with a built-in DAC for 96 kHz/24-bit output.

Gamers needing universal connectivity

This headset suits players who switch between PC, PlayStation, mobile and wired sources. The 2.4 GHz link delivers 20 ms latency for competitive response. Bluetooth modes do not work with PS5 or PS4. Xbox users are limited to the 3.5 mm wired connection only. Buyers who want active noise cancellation or a dedicated Xbox wireless mode should look elsewhere.

Plug-and-play audio with flexible power

The USB-C dongle enables instant 2.4 GHz audio on compatible devices. A 3.5 mm cable provides passive wired fallback when wireless is unavailable. The battery lasts up to 45 hours and recharges in 2.5 hours. Play-and-charge support means sessions continue while plugged in. No software installation is required for core functionality.

Questions about this item

What type of USB port does my device need for the 2.4 GHz dongle?

The headset includes a USB-A dongle and a USB-C adapter, so any standard USB-A or USB-C port will work for the 2.4 GHz link.

Can I listen through the 3.5 mm cable while the battery is flat?

Yes, the 3.5 mm wired mode is fully passive and needs no battery power, so audio works even when the headset is not charged.

How do I confirm the 7.1 virtual surround is active on my PC?

Enable the 7.1 option in the Windows sound control panel or the AOC companion software; the headset will then process positional audio through its built-in DAC.
