Product Profile

The AOC CM7009 is a wired on-ear gaming headset finished in blue and weighing 207g. It connects through a 3.5mm jack and includes a splitter for separate audio and microphone ports. The 40mm neodymium drivers deliver 7.1 virtual surround sound for positional audio in games. It is built for players who want a lightweight, plug-and-play headset that works across consoles, PC and mobile devices without software or batteries.

Build Integration

The 79in cable reaches comfortably from a desk or couch to the controller or front-panel port. The 3.5mm connection draws power and audio directly from the host device, so no USB port, charger or driver installation is required. The adjustable headband and synthetic leather ear cups fold flat for storage, freeing desk space when the session ends. The flexible boom microphone rotates 360 degrees to sit clear of the mouth when not in use.

Upgrade Context

This headset replaces basic bundled earbuds or heavy over-ear models that cause fatigue during long sessions. The jump is worth it for gamers who need clear team chat via the noise-cancelling microphone and want 7.1 spatial cues without investing in a USB sound card. It is not suited for buyers who want more storage, wireless freedom, active noise cancellation for travel, or a detachable cable for easy replacement.
