Aokeo AK-1i USB Condenser Microphone

The Aokeo AK-1i is a USB condenser microphone designed for straightforward recording and streaming. It connects directly to a PC, Mac, PS4 or PS5 without additional drivers. The microphone uses a cardioid pickup pattern to focus on the speaker while reducing background noise. A 192kHz/24bit chip handles the audio conversion.

Suited for beginners and casual streamers

This microphone suits users who want a simple plug-and-play solution for gaming, podcasts or voice chat. The multifunction knob controls gain and mute status with RGB feedback. It is not for buyers who need XLR connectivity or hardware monitoring. It also does not support Xbox consoles.

192kHz/24bit resolution with 60 dB SNR

The capsule delivers a 110 dB sensitivity rating and a 2.2 kiloohm impedance. The 60 dB signal-to-noise ratio provides a clean noise floor for spoken-word content. Headroom is sufficient for typical streaming and podcast levels. Very loud sources or untreated rooms may exceed the comfortable dynamic range.

Questions about this item

Does the AK-1i need any extra power supply or audio interface to run?

No. The AK-1i draws power and carries audio over its single USB cable, so it works straight from a PC, Mac, PS4 or PS5 port without an external adapter.

Will the cardioid pickup reject keyboard clicks from my older mechanical board?

The cardioid pattern focuses on sound in front of the mic; with the 60 dB signal-to-noise ratio it suppresses off-axis noise such as typing, though very loud switches close to the capsule may still be heard.

How do I confirm the AK-1i is live and not muted after plugging it in?

A breathing RGB gradient means the mic is active; press the knob once and the light turns solid purple to show mute, or hold the knob to disable lighting entirely.
