What this cable is and who it serves

The Aomoproing DisplayPort 1.4 cable links a desktop, laptop or PC to a compatible monitor or HDTV over a 6.6ft run. It targets users who need 8K resolution at 60Hz or high-refresh 4K gaming at 144Hz with HDR and 10-bit colour.

Capacity and headroom

The 32.4Gbps bandwidth carries 7680x4320 at 60Hz with RGB 4:4:4 and DSC, plus 3840x2160 at 120Hz or 144Hz. At 2560x1440 it handles 165Hz, and 1920x1080 reaches the same ceiling. Buyers who want more storage or a second card will not find that here.

Practical limits of DisplayPort 1.4

The cable delivers a 50% throughput increase over 1.2 links and supports HDCP 2.2, MST and stereoscopic 3D. It cannot exceed the 32.4Gbps ceiling, so resolutions or refresh rates beyond the listed modes are not possible.

Questions about this item

Will the 32.4 Gbps DisplayPort 1.4 cable work with my current 4K 60 Hz monitor and older graphics card?

Yes, the cable is backward compatible and will run at the highest resolution and refresh rate both devices support, such as 4K at 60 Hz or 144 Hz depending on the graphics card output.

How can I confirm the cable is delivering 8K 60 Hz or 4K 144 Hz after connecting it?

Open your OS display settings or GPU control panel and verify the active resolution shows 7680x4320 at 60 Hz or 3840x2160 at 144 Hz with 10-bit colour and HDR enabled.

Does the 6.6 ft braided cable include any adapters or do I need to buy a separate DisplayPort to HDMI converter?

The box contains only the male-to-male DisplayPort 1.4 cable; any DisplayPort to HDMI, DVI or VGA adapter must be purchased separately.
