What this cable does and who it suits

Aomoproing Flat TPE USB4 Cable 1.64ft delivers 40Gbps data, 240W charging and 8K@60Hz video over a 0.50m flat TPE cord. It is built for creators moving large RAW files to portable NVMe SSD and professionals driving high-refresh HDR monitors from a single connection.

Practical limits of the USB4 interface

Actual transfer speed depends on the port hardware specification of your connected electronic devices. The 40Gbps bandwidth is only available when both host and peripheral support USB4 40Gbps; lesser ports will fall back to their native rate. Video output requires DP Alt Mode on the source and sink.

What to check on your existing setup

Verify that your laptop or dock provides a USB-C port with USB4 40Gbps, PD3.1 EPR 48V/5A and DP Alt Mode 8K@60Hz support. Confirm the peripheral — SSD, monitor or docking station — matches those same capabilities. The cable will not add features the ports do not have.

Questions about this item

Is the 1.64 ft length right for a desktop setup or should I get a longer cable?

At 1.64 ft the flat TPE cable reaches from a laptop to a dock or monitor on the same desk without excess slack, reducing tangles while still allowing comfortable positioning.

Will I actually see 40 Gbps when I plug this into my NVMe SSD enclosure?

The cable sustains 40 Gbps bandwidth with multi-layer shielding and oxygen-free copper, so large RAW footage moves at full USB4 speed provided the host port and enclosure also support 40 Gbps.

Does the USB4 cable work with Thunderbolt 4 ports and what does that limit?

It is compatible with Thunderbolt 4 and 3 ports, delivering the same 40 Gbps data, 240 W charging and 8K 60 Hz video through those interfaces.
