Product identity

The Aomoproing MT7921K is an M.2 22x30mm Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless adapter for desktop PCs. It connects through an NGFF M.2 slot and includes 6dBi antennas for signal reception. The kit supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands with a maximum link rate of 1200Mbps when the router operates on an 80MHz channel width. It runs only on Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 64-bit.

Compatibility

This adapter suits builders adding Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 to a desktop that has a compatible M.2 2230 key slot and runs Windows 10 or 11 64-bit. It is not for systems lacking an NGFF M.2 slot, for CNVio-only implementations, or for any operating system other than Windows 10 or 11 64-bit. Laptop upgrades and non-Windows environments are unsupported.

Deciding specification

The single specification that decides fit is the NGFF M.2 22x30mm interface with explicit CNVio incompatibility; the card will not work in CNVio-wired slots or in any other form factor.

Questions about this item

Does the kit include everything needed to install the MT7921K in a desktop?

The desktop kit provides the M.2 22x30 mm card and two 6 dBi antennas; you only need a free M.2 key-E slot that is not CNVIO and Windows 10 or 11 64-bit.

The title mentions 1800 Mbps but the specs show 1200 Mbps — which figure applies to this adapter?

The adapter itself reaches 1200 Mbps on 5 GHz with an 80 MHz channel; the 1800 Mbps label is a tri-band theoretical sum that requires router features this card does not use.

Will I actually see 1200 Mbps throughput on my Windows 11 PC?

Real-world throughput depends on router 80 MHz support, antenna placement and interference; the 1200 Mbps is the PHY link ceiling under ideal conditions.
