Rackmount Basic PDU 30A 208V
The APC AP9571A is a horizontal 1U basic power distribution unit. It accepts 200V to 240V input through a NEMA L6-30P plug with a 12 ft cord. Ten IEC 320 C13 outlets deliver 208V output with overload protection. It operates from -15 to 45 °C at up to 4500 m elevation.
Suited for dense C13 loads on a single branch
This unit suits racks where ten C13 inlets must be powered from one 30A circuit. Builders needing more than ten outlets or a different outlet mix should look elsewhere. Installations requiring metering, switching or remote monitoring need a managed PDU instead. Sites without a NEMA L6-30P receptacle cannot use this model.
Input connector NEMA L6-30P decides fit
The PDU connects only via a NEMA L6-30P plug rated for 30A maximum input current. Regulatory derating limits continuous draw to 24A on the 208V output. If the facility provides a different plug type or a lower-rated circuit, this unit will not install without infrastructure changes.

Questions about this item
How do I mount the 1U horizontal PDU in a standard rack and which step is often missed?
Use the supplied brackets to secure the 17.5 inch wide unit in a 1U space; the step often missed is tightening both front and rear bracket screws to prevent the 2.54 kg unit from sagging.
What maintenance or replacement will the AP9571A need over time?
The basic PDU has no user-serviceable parts; plan to replace the entire unit if the NEMA L6-30P plug or any of the ten C13 outlets show physical damage or overheating.
What is the first limit reached when running the PDU at full load continuously?
The regulatory derated input current of 24 A is the first limit; sustained loads above 4.99 kVA will trip the overload protection even though the plug is rated for 30 A.
