42U NetShelter SX Server Rack

The APC AR3340 is a 42U floor-standing enclosure built to the EIA-310-E standard with a 19-inch mounting width. It suits data-centre and server-room installations that need a deep cabinet for high-density networking gear and large switches.

Integrated cable managers and keyed-alike panels

Pre-installed vertical cable managers and an improved cable-access roof organise large cable bundles. Baying hardware, leveling feet, casters, side panels and mounting hardware arrive in the box, while keyed-alike doors and sides simplify physical security across multiple cabinets.

Check floor load and aisle depth before ordering

The unit weighs 161.36 kg and carries a static load rating of 1363.64 kg, so the floor must support that weight. Maximum depth is 1200 mm with a mounting-depth range of 279 mm to 959 mm; verify aisle clearance and equipment depth against those limits.

Questions about this item

Will the casters or levelling feet need replacement after the rack is fully loaded and moved?

The pre-installed casters and levelling feet are rated for the dynamic load limit of 1022.73 kg, so they only require replacement if that rolling weight is exceeded.

What is the first limit reached when the enclosure is filled with heavy networking gear?

The dynamic load rating of 1022.73 kg is reached before the static limit of 1363.64 kg, making it the governing constraint for a fully populated rack.

Does the 42U cabinet generate any fan noise or heat of its own during continuous operation?

The enclosure is a passive structure with no fans or power supply, so it adds no audible noise or heat beyond what the installed equipment produces.
