Kit contents and intended use

The APC AR8005 hardware kit supplies 36 cage nuts with #10-32 thread for mounting equipment in enclosures that have square mounting rails. It is designed for installers who need to populate a standard EIA-310-D rack with devices that use #10-32 mounting screws.

Suitable scenarios and limits

This kit suits technicians fitting servers or network gear into square-hole rails where #10-32 threads are required. It does not meet the needs of cabinets that use M6 or M5 thread patterns, nor does it provide enough pieces for very large deployments requiring more than 36 fasteners.

Pre-installation checks

Verify that your rack rails have square holes and that the equipment you are mounting specifies #10-32 screws. Confirm the total number of mounting points per device so you can determine whether a single 36-piece kit covers the installation.
