1U rack-mount UPS delivers 750 VA / 600 W with AVR, LCD status display, four NEMA 5-15R outlets and includes a 16 GB USB 3.0 drive
The APC SMT750RM1U is a 1U rack-mountable battery backup delivering 750 VA and 600 W through four NEMA 5-15R outlets. It targets IT administrators protecting wireless networks, computers and small electronics in server rooms or commercial racks where depth is limited. A bundled 16 GB USB 3.0 drive is included for firmware or configuration storage.
An LCD status display shows load capacity, battery runtime and UPS status at a glance. Automatic Voltage Regulation uses double boost and trim to correct low and high voltage without switching to battery, but it cannot compensate for sustained outages or input voltages outside its regulation window. The USB communication port works with PowerChute software for graceful shutdown of physical servers, virtual machines and HCI clusters during extended power loss.
This unit replaces tower-style desktop UPS models that cannot fit a 1U rack space or lack network-managed shutdown capability. The 23 % depth reduction and higher power factor make the jump worthwhile when rack density and remote management become requirements. It is not suited for loads exceeding 600 W or for environments needing extended runtime beyond the internal battery capacity.

Size the load by the 600 W figure; the 750 VA rating represents apparent power, while the 600 W limit is the real power the UPS can deliver continuously.
It means the UPS can supply up to 600 watts of real power to attached devices, so the combined wattage of all plugged-in gear must stay at or below that level.
The USB 3.0 port provides a high-speed link for PowerChute software to monitor status and trigger graceful shutdowns during outages.
