Product Identity

The APG Cash Drawer AC520-BL2111-H is a horizontal-mount POS podium cash drawer built for retail and hospitality checkout stations. It integrates a 5 bill by 6 coin till into a single black unit that accepts 12/24V interface power for direct connection to compatible receipt printers or POS terminals.

Power Interface

The single specification that determines compatibility is the 12/24V interface, which must match the voltage output of the driving printer or terminal. A mismatched voltage will prevent the drawer from opening or risk damage to the solenoid mechanism.

Thermals and Noise

The drawer operates mechanically without active cooling, so it produces no fan noise and draws negligible standby power. Normal use generates only the brief sound of the solenoid firing and the till sliding open, with no measurable heat added to the countertop.

Questions about this item

How does the 21 x 11 inch horizontal layout fit on a counter?

The drawer measures 21 inches wide by 11 inches deep and mounts horizontally, so it sits flat on the counter without extra brackets.

What does the 12/24 V interface mean for connecting to a POS printer?

The drawer accepts either 12 V or 24 V solenoid signals from a receipt printer, so it works with both common POS voltage standards.

Will the 5 bill and 6 coin till compartments handle daily cash volume?

The till provides five bill slots and six coin cups, giving separate compartments for each denomination during a shift.
