What this charger does

The Apple A1357 is a 10W USB power adapter designed to charge iPhone, iPad and iPod models directly from a wall socket. It supplies up to 10 watts through a single USB-A port for compatible Apple devices.

Installation and common issues

Plug the adapter into a mains outlet and connect your device using its own USB cable. The unit has no moving parts and requires no drivers. The only frequent problem is using a cable that does not support the required current, which results in slower charging.

Check before you buy

Verify that your Apple device appears in the compatibility list supplied with the product data. Ensure you already own a suitable USB-to-Lightning or USB-to-30-pin cable, because none is included in the box. Buyers needing higher wattage for fast-charging newer iPad Pro or iPhone models should look for a more powerful adapter.
