All-in-one desktop with 21.5-inch 4096 x 2304 Retina 4K display, 3.0 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5-7400, 8 GB DDR4, 1 TB 5400-rpm HDD and Radeon Pro 555 graphics
This 21.5-inch iMac integrates a 4096 by 2304 panel, a 3.0 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5-7400 processor, 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB 5400-rpm hard drive. AMD Radeon Pro 555 graphics with 2 GB VRAM handle visual tasks. It ships with macOS 10.13 High Sierra, a USB keyboard and an optical mouse.
The 3.0 GHz quad-core chip can reach 3.5 GHz under load, while the dedicated Radeon Pro 555 manages graphics throughput without sharing system memory. The all-in-one thermal design balances fan speed and component temperatures during extended rendering or encoding sessions. Memory is expandable to 64 GB for heavier multitasking.
Storage is a mechanical 1 TB drive at 5400 rpm, so boot and application launch times will reflect that speed. The Mid-2017 chassis does not allow GPU upgrades, and the display is non-removable. Wireless uses 802.11ac with Bluetooth 4.2; wired connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet. Thunderbolt 3 ports use USB-C connectors for external storage or displays.

The system uses a single axial fan that spins faster under sustained load; Apple rates the acoustic level at 45 dB at idle and it rises under full CPU and GPU utilisation.
The package includes a USB keyboard and an optical mouse, both wired, so no extra input devices are required.
Yes, a Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter lets the array run at its native speed through either USB-C port.
