Apple iPad 5th Gen A1823 128GB Space Gray

This Apple iPad 5th Gen model A1823 is a 9.7 inch tablet with 128GB of built-in storage and 2GB of memory. It runs iOS and features a Retina display with a 2048 x 1536 resolution at 264 ppi. The device includes a 1.8 GHz dual-core Apple A9 processor, an 8 megapixel rear iSight camera, and a 1.2 megapixel front FaceTime HD camera. It supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi with speeds up to 866 Mbps and includes cellular capability in an unlocked configuration.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This tablet suits users who need a portable iOS device with ample 128GB storage for apps, media, and documents. The unlocked cellular support allows flexible mobile data use without carrier restrictions. Buyers who require a newer operating system version beyond iPadOS 15.4 should consider other options. Those needing more than 2GB of memory for demanding multitasking or professional creative workflows will find this model limiting.

Deciding specification: 128GB built-in storage

The 128GB built-in storage capacity is the key specification that determines suitability. It dictates how many apps, photos, videos, and files can be stored locally without relying on cloud services. This capacity supports a substantial offline library for travel or areas with poor connectivity. If your storage needs exceed 128GB, this iPad will not meet your requirements.
