9.7-inch iPad for everyday use

The 2018 Apple iPad has a 9.7-inch Retina display with a 2048 x 1536 resolution and supports Apple Pencil for drawing and note-taking. It runs on an A10 Fusion chip with 2GB of memory and 32GB of storage. The Wi-Fi only model includes Bluetooth 4.2 and weighs under two pounds.

Sustained performance with A10 chip

The A10 Fusion processor at 2.3 GHz handles augmented reality apps and multitasking without thermal throttling during extended sessions. The 32GB of built-in storage and 2GB of memory remain constant regardless of workload. Battery life exceeds five hours under typical mixed use.

Check Wi-Fi only and storage needs

This model connects via 802.11ac Wi-Fi on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands but has no cellular capability. The 32GB capacity cannot be expanded, so buyers who need more storage should consider other options. There are no USB ports for external drives. Apple Pencil is sold separately.
