Purpose & audience

The Apple iPad Air 2 A1566 is a 9.7-inch tablet with 16GB of built-in storage and 2GB of memory. It runs iOS 15.4 on an Apple A8X chip with a 64-bit architecture and M8 motion co-processor. The silver finish and Grade A+ condition make it suitable for everyday browsing, media consumption and light productivity tasks.

Build fit

The tablet connects via 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi with MIMO support and Bluetooth 4.0 for wireless peripherals. A UL approved power adapter and charging cable are included so the device can be powered immediately. No headphones, SIM card or original packaging are supplied, leaving those choices to the buyer.

Bundled impact

The included power adapter and cable provide a certified charging solution without extra purchase. Absence of headphones means private listening requires a separate headset or Bluetooth audio device. Missing SIM card and manual shift cellular setup and reference material to the user’s own resources.

Questions about this item

Will the 16 GB storage fill up quickly if I use the iPad Air 2 for work apps and media all day?

The 16 GB built-in storage is fixed and cannot be expanded, so heavy app libraries or offline media will hit that limit fast.

Does the Apple A8X chip and M8 coprocessor run hot or loud during long sessions?

The tablet has no fan; the A8X and M8 are passively cooled, so it stays silent though the aluminium back may feel warm under sustained load.

What Wi-Fi router standard do I already need to reach the 866 Mbps link speed?

You need an 802.11ac router with MIMO support to achieve the quoted 866 Mbps downlink on this model.
