Apple iPhone 16 256GB Ultramarine unlocked

The Apple iPhone 16 in Ultramarine ships unlocked with 256GB of storage. An aluminium frame and Ceramic Shield front protect a 6.1 inch Super Retina XDR OLED display. The colour-infused glass back matches the Ultramarine finish. It weighs 170g and measures 147.6mm by 71.6mm by 7.8mm.

Sustained brightness and thermal behaviour

The display reaches 1,000 nits typical maximum brightness and 1,600 nits peak brightness for HDR content. Outdoor peak brightness hits 2,000 nits for visibility in direct sunlight. A 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio and 460 ppi resolution remain stable during extended HDR playback or bright outdoor use.

Upgrade considerations and limitations

Moving from a 128GB model gains double the storage for apps, photos and video without changing the physical size. Buyers who need 512GB capacity or a different SIM configuration such as dual physical Nano-SIM slots should note this unit uses eSIM in the USA and single Nano-SIM or eSIM in APAC regions.

Questions about this item

Does the 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with 2,000 nits outdoor peak brightness generate noticeable heat during all-day use?

The 6.1-inch OLED panel reaches 2,000 nits peak brightness outdoors and 1,600 nits for HDR, with a typical maximum of 1,000 nits. Heat output during sustained use is managed by the aluminium frame and iOS thermal controls.

What existing SIM setup is required for the eSIM-only US model to activate on my carrier?

The US variant uses eSIM only, so you need a carrier that supports eSIM activation and a compatible plan. No physical nano-SIM slot is present on this model.

Will my existing Lightning cables and 5W USB-A chargers still charge the iPhone 16 at full speed?

The iPhone 16 retains the Lightning port, so existing Lightning cables work. A 5W USB-A charger will charge the device, but at its standard 5W rate rather than the faster speeds available with higher-wattage USB-C power adapters.
