Thermals noise and power in daily use

The glass front and back with an aluminum frame dissipate heat passively during typical tasks. The 5.5-inch Retina IPS LCD runs at 625 nits typical brightness while the A11 Bionic chip balances two performance cores with four efficiency cores for moderate power draw.

Build fit and expandability

Measuring 158.4 x 78.1 x 7.5 mm and weighing 202 g, the handset slips into most pockets and standard cases. A single Nano-SIM slot handles cellular connectivity while the glass back enables Qi wireless charging, freeing the Lightning port for accessories.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Nano-SIM and which way does the tray go back in?

Insert the eject tool into the pinhole on the right edge, pull out the tray, place the Nano-SIM with the angled corner matching the tray cutout, then slide the tray back in until it clicks flush with the aluminum frame.

What maintenance will the glass back and screen need over time?

The Corning-made glass front and back resist everyday scratches, but hairline marks can appear; a tempered-glass protector and a case prevent deeper damage, and the glass back still works with Qi wireless chargers after minor surface wear.

Which limit appears first during extended 4K video recording?

The A11 Bionic chip generates heat during sustained 4K capture, and the system will dim the 5.5-inch Retina IPS LCD or throttle performance to protect internal temperatures before storage fills.
