Product identity

The Apple iPhone 8 Plus 64GB Gold is an unlocked smartphone with a 5.5-inch Retina HD display and 64GB of internal storage. It suits users who want a familiar iOS experience with a physical home button and dual rear cameras in a compact form factor. The A11 Bionic chip handles everyday apps and augmented reality tasks without difficulty. Its glass back enables wireless charging on compatible pads.

Practical limits

The LCD panel offers a 1080 x 1920 resolution protected by an oleophobic coating and IP67 certification against water and dust ingress. Dual 12MP sensors provide wide-angle and telephoto perspectives with f/1.8 and f/2.4 apertures respectively. The non-removable 2691 mAh battery and 3GB RAM set fixed boundaries for intensive multitasking or extended gaming sessions. Storage cannot be expanded beyond the factory 64GB.

Installation and pitfalls

Activation requires a nano-SIM from a compatible GSM carrier and an Apple ID for initial setup. The glass front and back are prone to cracking if dropped without a case, despite the IP67 rating. Buyers who want more storage or a modern edge-to-screen design should consider other models. The Lightning port remains the sole wired interface for charging and accessories.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 64 GB model or look for a larger capacity?

The 64 GB version stores the operating system, apps, photos and video locally. If you keep a large media library on the device rather than in the cloud, a higher-capacity model will give more headroom.

What does the 12 MP dual-camera system deliver in everyday shooting?

A 12 MP wide-angle lens at f/1.8 and a 12 MP telephoto lens at f/2.4 combine for optical zoom and portrait-mode depth effects, while the quad-LED True Tone flash improves low-light colour balance.

Which charging standard does the glass back enable and what power level can I expect?

The glass back supports Qi wireless charging; actual wattage depends on the charger you use, and the 2691 mAh battery is replenished through that same coil.
