Product identity

The Apple iPhone 8 Plus A1864 is a 5.5-inch smartphone with 128GB of storage in a Gold finish. It runs iOS 15.4 on a 2.4 GHz Apple A11 Bionic processor and includes a 12MP dual-camera system with optical image stabilisation. This fully unlocked, no-contract unit suits anyone who wants a capable iPhone without a carrier commitment.

Build and daily use

The handset uses what Apple describes as its most durable glass front and back with a stronger aerospace-grade aluminium band. It resists water and dust, supports wireless charging and carries a 5.5-inch Retina HD display with True Tone. A UL-approved power adapter and charging cable are included, while headphones, SIM card and manual are not.

Upgrade context

This model replaces an earlier iPhone that lacks wireless charging, water resistance or the A11 Bionic chip. The jump is worthwhile for users who want Portrait Lighting, 128GB of local storage and a True Tone screen in a familiar home-button design. Buyers who need Face ID, an edge-to-edge display or 5G connectivity will not find those features here.
