Ready-to-use unlocked iPhone XR

The Apple iPhone XR arrives new, fully unlocked and ready for any carrier. It runs iOS 12 out of the box and can be updated to iOS 16.4.1. The A12 Bionic hexa-core processor with 3GB RAM handles daily apps and multitasking. Internal storage is 128GB with no expansion slot.

Check your SIM and accessories

Verify that your current plan uses a nano-SIM or eSIM compatible with the unlocked hardware. The Lightning port requires existing Lightning cables or a USB-C to Lightning adapter for charging and data. Wi-Fi works on 802.11ac networks and Bluetooth 5.0 pairs with current headphones. No 5G modem is present, so coverage depends on LTE bands in your area.

Upgrade from older Touch ID models

This handset replaces iPhones that still use a home button and Touch ID, moving you to Face ID and a 6.1 inch Liquid Retina LCD. The single 12MP rear camera at f/1.8 adds Portrait mode and Smart HDR not found on earlier single-lens phones. Buyers who want a dedicated telephoto lens, OLED contrast or 5G speeds should look at higher-tier models.
